This is one of the many delicacies I have NOT enjoyed these past few days. I also had to give up caffeine. Do you realize what that means? That means that on Monday morning, when it was dark and cold - and I had to get up early to get Connor off to school and then sit down to an email inbox full of stupidity, I did it without my coffee. It was a struggle, let me tell you. I don't think I fully woke up until about 3PM yesterday. I feel pretty good today though. I'm not really dragging and not that hungry either.
I did, however, have an appointment with my family physician. The surgeon required I check in with her before the Big Day. She hasn't been too happy with my decision to go this route from the beginning, so I kind of went in with a chip on my shoulder, not looking forward to her judgmental eyes. All was going well until she told me she didn't like the looks of the EKG they gave me last week. She said some of my "waves were upside down." She wasn't too worried - and said sometimes it is just where/how the technician put the stickers on me. So she had me complete another one in her office. Unfortunately, it had the same results. So now I get to add a stress test to my schedule in the next two weeks. She told me not to worry and that most times these things come back perfectly fine. I kind of think that upside down waves is how I roll anyway.
My stress test is next week. And I am officially two weeks out from surgery tomorrow. Until then, I will just sit around trying not to stress while eating...mainly drinking...my meals.
